Two students aboard Scott County school bus No. 77 were not hurt Wednesday morning when two pickup trucks collided and went into the bus, a deputy sheriff said. But one truck driver was treated at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
The collision happened at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Leestown Road and Paynes Depot Road southwest of Georgetown, said Scott County Sgt. Mike Caudill.
An eastbound Toyota pickup truck and a westbound Chevrolet S10 pickup truck collided on Leestown Road, "and then both of them went into the school bus" stopped on Paynes Depot Road, Caudill said. The Toyota pickup wound up on its side.
The driver of the westbound Chevy S10 was taken to UK for neck and back pain, Caudill said. Damage to the bus was minor, he said.
