Inmate escapes from cruiser in Nicholasville during ride between jails

A man being taken from the jail in Jessamine County to the Fayette County Detention Center escaped from a Fayette County sheriff's deputy Monday afternoon. Christian Lynn Cox, 22, was riding in the back of the deputy's cruiser when he got out of the car in Nicholasville, said Maj. Jay Pittman of the Fayette County sheriff's department.
