A Frankfort man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of holding another person at gunpoint, Kentucky State Police said.
Dwayne L. Wainscott, 19, was charged with first-degree kidnapping, police said in a news release.
Wainscott allegedly held an acquaintance at gunpoint and forced the victim to drive him to the Lexington area. The victim was able to escape uninjured from Wainscott after the victim's vehicle broke down near Versailles. The victim ran to a nearby home, where police were called.
State police later found Wainscott hiding in a home on Louisville Road in Frankfort.
He was being held in the Franklin County jail in lieu of a full-cash $50,000 bond.
