Lexington police are investigating two Saturday night shooting incidents that might be related.
Shortly after 11 p.m., police were dispatched to the 500 block of Glen Arvin Avenue, which connects Newtown Pike and Georgetown Street, in reference to gunshots being fired, said Lt. Andrew Daugherty of the Lexington Police Department. Police located a man with a gunshot wound, who was then was transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A second man with a gunshot wound showed up at Saint Joseph Hospital and was later transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, Daugherty said. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the injuries are connected and located shell casings that connected the shootings to an address on Coffee Tree Lane, which is connected to Glen Arvin Avenue, Daugherty said.
