A woman is dead and a man was found wounded Tuesday morning after a shooting in northern Bourbon County, said Sheriff Mark Matthews.
State police said Michael Kelley, 50, of Paris, shot and killed Crystal Kelley, 46, in an act of domestic violence, then turned the gun on himself.
Crystal Kelley was pronounced dead at the house on Mount Carmel Road off U.S. 27 in northern Bourbon County near the Harrison County line.
Michael Kelley, who is charged with murder-domestic violence, was taken by ambulance to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington.

State police went to the house to check on Crystal Kelley after being called at about 10:40 a.m. A trooper who went to the scene looked through a window and saw the man and woman with gunshot wounds, then tried to help both of them.
