A Harlan County man was found dead Wednesday night, and police suspect that his 14-year-old grandson shot him.
Teddy Jackson, 56, of the Blair community in Harlan County, was found with a shotgun wound about 8 p.m. in his home, according to Kentucky State Police.
The teen was taken into custody and charged with reckless homicide, tampering with evidence and first-degree wanton endangerment, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. He is being held in the Breathitt County juvenile detention center.
Jackson's body was taken to the state medical examiner's office, where an autopsy is to be conducted Friday, police said.
