A man from Marion County was involved in two shootouts with law enforcement officers Saturday, according to police in Tennessee and Kentucky.
Floyd Ray Cook of Lebanon shot Officer Ahscaria Valencia of the Algood Police Department during a traffic stop in Putnam County, Tenn., Saturday afternoon and then fled in a Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Cook, who was already wanted on felony warrants in Kentucky, was then stopped at about 6:30 p.m. by a state trooper in Cumberland County, said Kentucky State Police Trooper Billy Gregory.
Gregory said Cook shot at the trooper, who returned fire. Then Cook ran away.

Officers were still looking for Cook late Saturday.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Valencia, who had been a police officer in Algood for a year and a half, had been released from the hospital in good condition Saturday night.
The Kentucky State Police trooper Cook fired on was not injured, Gregory said.
