NICHOLASVILLE — A Richmond woman has been charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy of a 14-year-old boy over the Memorial Day weekend in Jessamine County, police said.
Barbara Waters, 36, was arrested Tuesday in Madison County after a warrant was served on her there, said Jessamine County Chief Deputy Allen "Doodle" Peel.
She was charged with third-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sodomy, all class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison.
Peel said he did not know how Waters knew the teenager, but he said the boy does not live in Jessamine County.
Waters was held in the Jessamine County jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
She pleaded not guilty during a Wednesday morning arraignment in Jessamine District Court.
