A man found dead in a Johnson County home Friday died of asphyxiation, Kentucky State Police said Wednesday.
Timothy L. Castle, 27, of Prestonsburg reportedly got into a physical altercation with an acquaintance Thursday, but it's unclear whether Castle's death was the result of murder or self-defense, said Trooper Mike Goble, spokesman for the Pikeville police post.
No charges have been filed, and investigators have not named the acquaintance. State police Detective Ben Cramer is investigating the death as a homicide, Goble said.
Castle's body was found Friday in another friend's home in Meally and reported to police through a 911 call, Goble said. He said the state medical examiner's office concluded that Castle's death was the result of asphyxiation.
