A Lexington toddler died Tuesday after being severely injured earlier this week at an apartment complex on McCullough Drive.
Doni'Sha Vacqua D. Lewis, 2, was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. at University of Kentucky Hospital, according to a coroner's release. A cause of death has not been determined.
Police Lt. Chris VanBrackel said detectives from the Crimes Against Children unit are investigating. Police have declined to comment about the nature of Lewis' injuries.
VanBrackel said Doni'Sha was staying with a baby-sitter when police received a call about an unresponsive child.

As of Wednesday, no one had been charged in Doni'Sha's death.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said the sitter, Robin Waddy, 22, of Lexington, was questioned by police. She was arrested on warrants for outstanding charges unrelated to this case, Roberts said. She declined to say what those charges were.
Waddy has previous criminal convictions in Lexington for fourth-degree assault and theft, and she has been arrested for failure to appear in court.
