A man's cell phone was stolen in an armed robbery on the University of Kentucky's campus in Lexington on Wednesday night.
Shortly before 9:45 p.m. in the parking lot on Press Avenue, two men approached a man who was talking on a cell phone, held him at knifepoint and told him to give up his valuables, said UK chief of police Joe Monroe.
The victim told the robbers he had nothing with him but his cell phone, which the robbers took and ran toward Winnie Street, Monroe said.
The victim was not harmed, and nothing else was taken, Monroe said.
The robbers had not been found as of 11 p.m. Wednesday, Monroe said. Police were not immediately releasing the name of the victim, Monroe said.
