A man was hospitalized Tuesday after a medical condition apparently caused him to crash into a restaurant.
The man, who was not identified Tuesday afternoon, was driving inbound on Richmond Road about 11:40 a.m. when his car sideswiped another car, crossed the median, ran up an embankment and slammed into the Waffle House on Patchen Drive, police said.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said investigators think the man had a seizure before the crash. He was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. No one else was injured.
The restaurant was open for business Tuesday afternoon.
