A Fayette County grand jury has indicted a Lexington woman in the death of a toddler in the spring.
Robin P. Waddy, 23, was indicted Monday on a charge of second-degree manslaughter in the death of Donisha Lewis, 2. Waddy was baby-sitting Donisha at her apartment at 1840 McCullough Drive on April 19, police have said.
According to the indictment, Waddy "inflicted blunt-force injury to the head and body" of Donisha, who died the next day at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
Witnesses originally told police Donisha injured herself in the bathtub, but detectives had been investigating the death as a homicide for months, according to police documents.

Police have not released any other details about the death.
No warrant or criminal citation had been filed with Waddy's indictment in Fayette Circuit Court on Tuesday.
Waddy had not been booked into the Fayette County jail Tuesday afternoon, spokeswoman Jennifer Taylor said.
