A Knott County woman who allegedly assaulted her father during an argument over control of a house, causing his death, has pleaded guilty, Attorney General Jack Conway announced Friday.
Denise Bradley, 48, pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree manslaughter.
Bradley was charged with hitting John Adams, 79, in the head at his home in Pinetop in September 2009. The two had argued over a house that Bradley's parents had deeded to her, but which her father still controlled, Conway said in a news release.
Adams died three weeks later of complications from trauma to the head, according to the news release.
Conway's office, which prosecuted Bradley, will recommend a 10-year sentence when she is sentenced March 10.
