City council, mayor come closer to ousting fire chief

The Urban County Council passed a recommendation Tuesday to put a resolution of no-confidence in the leadership of the Division of Fire on its Thursday docket. The vote that took place during the Urban County Council's afternoon work session could be the first step toward the dismissal of Lexington Fire Chief Robert Hendricks, who was given until noon Tuesday to submit his resignation.
