Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a Mercer County couple found in their home Wednesday evening.
Rafael Lopez, 63, and his wife Teresa Lopez, 57, both died from single gunshot wounds, Mercer County Deputy Coroner Scott Moseley said. Their daughter found them about 7 p.m. in separate rooms in the house on Paradise Camp Road in Burgin.
Moseley said Rafael Lopez committed suicide. He would not say whether it was a murder-suicide. He deferred comment to the sheriff's department.
Mercer County Sheriff Ernie Kelty said no foul play was suspected. Kelty said he could not release any other details.
