A Stanford man was killed Wednesday in a head-on collision on Ky. 1295 in Madison County.
Garland W. Adams, 61, died when his 1992 Ford Mustang collided with a Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Brandon D. Gross, 18, of Richmond.
State police said in a news release that Adams was westbound on Ky. 1295 about 4:20 p.m. when Gross's eastbound car went off the road.
Gross apparently overcorrected and lost control of his car, which crossed into the westbound lane and into the path of the Mustang, the news release said.

Both men were taken to the hospital, where Adams was pronounced dead. Gross suffered injuries to his ankle, shoulder and face.
Both men were wearing seat belts, the release said.
The crash happened along the same stretch of the road where Abraham Ramirez, 21, of Richmond was killed when his car crashed into a pickup truck on April 14.
