Lexington and Paris police are investigating two robberies that occurred early Thursday.
The first robbery occurred in Lexington about 1:40 a.m. Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said two men walked into the Speedway at Man o' War and Todds Road with guns and demanded money.
The clerk gave the men an undisclosed amount of cash, and they fled on foot. Police dogs tracked them, but lost their scent, indicating they got into a car parked nearby, Roberts said.
About 40 minutes later, two men with similar descriptions robbed a gas station in Paris, she said. Details of that robbery were unclear; Paris police did not immediately return calls for comment.

Witnesses described the robbers as Hispanic men about 5-foot-5 inches. Both men were wearing bandanas over their faces.
