A Lexington man was indicted Monday by a Fayette County grand jury for robbing two local banks.
Roy Joseph Kwaczala, 48, of 1685 Alexandria Drive, No. 12A, was indicted for first-degree robbery in connection with the robbery on May 27 of First Federal Bank on Lane Allen Road and second-degree robbery in connection with the June 10 robbery of United Bank and Trust on Harrodsburg Road. He also was indicted for driving on a suspended license.
Kwaczala, who is in the Fayette County Detention Center under a $15,200 full cash bond, is to be arraigned Aug. 11 in Fayette Circuit Court.
