A bicyclist suffered serious injuries Monday night after being hit by a car at Man o' War Boulevard and Parkers Mill Road.
The bicyclist, whose name was not available, was riding inbound on Parkers Mill and had a green light to cross the intersection with Man o' War at 6:09 p.m., Lexington police Lt. Chris Van Brackel said.
Two cars were turning left from Parkers Mill onto Man o' War. Van Brackel said the first car turned in front of the bicyclist, and the second car, a Dodge Nitro, hit the bicyclist. Van Brackel said the driver did not see the bicyclist.
The bicyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the University of Kentucky with a broken femur, bruised chest and lung and a concussion.
