A McCreary County mad died Thursday when the pickup truck in which he was a passenger was hit by another truck, state police said.
David Michael Ball, 65, of Parkers Lake, was pronounced dead at the site of the wreck on U.S. 27.
Robert Vanover, 56, was driving in a Ford F-150 pickup truck with Ball and Scott Cox, 44, when the truck was struck from behind by a Nissan Frontier driven by Wilfredo Rivera, 33, of Somerset.
The Ford caught fire after the crash and was destroyed.
