A Carter County man was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a man twice in the buttocks during a fight at a home in Hitchens.
John Clark Jr., 19, was charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony, in the stabbing of Glen Wallace, according to a news release from state police. Clark was being held at the Carter County jail.
Police said the assault happened about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, when Clark and Wallace got into a physical altercation. Police say Clark stabbed Wallace during the fight. Wallace was taken to Kings Daughters Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Investigators said the cause of the altercation is under investigation but alcohol was suspected as a factor.
