Lexington police have charged a man in a series of thefts from local businesses within the past month.
Brendon Kyle Smith, 21, was charged Tuesday with one count of felony theft and seven counts of a misdemeanor theft. He is accused of stealing from employee tip jars and charitable donation displays at the following businesses:
■ Sept. 17, Butt Rub BBQ, 450 Southland Drive
■ Sept. 29, The Soup Kitchen, 376 Southland Drive
■ Oct. 9, El Rancho Tapatio, 144 Burt Road
■ Oct. 10, TGI Friday's, 144 Rojay Drive
■ Oct. 13, Bluegrass Barkery, 152 West Tiverton Way
■ Oct. 14, Orange Leaf, 152 West Tiverton Way, Suite 170
■ Oct. 16, Moe's, 141 Rojay Drive
■ Oct. 18, Burger King, 3348 Clays Mill Road
