A toddler was critically injured in a single-car crash Tuesday evening in Morgan County.
The 2-year-old girl was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition Tuesday night.
The child was injured in a crash when Lisa Ritter, 31, of Piqua, Ohio, was traveling west on U.S. 460.
Ritter lost control of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, state police said. She overcorrected, the car left the road and turned on its side before coming to a rest against a tree.
Ritter was taken to Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital, where she was treated and released. She was being held at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, assault and having a prescription drug in an improper container.
