Two people were arrested and police are searching for two others after an alleged robbery and assault in Lexington on Monday night.
Amy Dixon, 21, and Christopher Yocum, 22, both were charged with first-degree robbery.
Police did not release the identities of the two people for whom they are searching.
The victim, who wasn't named, told police two men robbed him as he was taking out the trash. He said they pistol-whipped him, took some cash and a cellphone, then shot at him as he ran back to his house, Lexington spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
Never miss a local story.
Neighbors called police about 10:20 p.m. to report gunshots at a home in the 1100 block of Mount Rushmore Drive, near Pimlico Parkway.
Witnesses then saw a maroon sport-utility vehicle speed away from the house, Roberts said.
Before long, police spotted the SUV, but the only person inside was the victim.
The victim said he knew his attackers and others involved, Roberts said.
After midnight, officers found Dixon and Yocum walking on Sundart Drive, about a mile and a half away, and charged them.
