A Winchester man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges related to cutting two people with a knife on Tuesday afternoon.
David Abrams, 48, is accused of first- and second-degree assault against Greg Armitage and Alice Watts at their Crawford Drive home, said Winchester Police Capt. Harvey Craycraft.
The incident resulted from a dispute over a debt, Craycraft said.
Armitage, 57, who was stabbed, was treated and released at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, a spokeswoman said. Watts, 60, who was cut on the head, was treated and released at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Craycraft said.

Abrams was being held in the Clark County jail on a $20,000 cash bond.
