A homeowner nabbed two intruders who broke into his home in Trimble County late Sunday, Kentucky State Police said.
The homeowner, who was not identified, called state police at 11:56 p.m. to report that he had forced two people out of his house in Milton after he was awakened by his home's burglar alarm, according to a state police news release.
After being forced out, the two people, later identified as Rhea M. Easley, 26, of Madison, Ind., and Joshua S. Mitchell, 30, of Bedford, allegedly tried to steal the man's vehicle from his driveway, state police said.
The homeowner "stopped the theft by ordering the suspects to the ground at gunpoint." He detained the two until troopers got there, state police said.

State police later discovered that the two had been linked to a vehicle theft in Jefferson County, Ind., and a pursuit with police in Madison, Ind., earlier in the evening. State police said the vehicle from that case was found in Trimble County.
Easley and Mitchell were taken to the Carroll County jail and charged with second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property under $10,000, attempted car theft and public intoxication.
