A Morgan County woman has been charged with stealing items from a victim of the devastating March 2 tornado in the county, Kentucky State Police said.
Marsha J. Risner, 35, of Ezel was charged Monday with second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and public intoxication, according to a news release.
State police said a property owner reported Monday afternoon that two unidentified women were on his storm-damaged property on Bays Bend Road. Items taken from the property were sold at a scrap yard, which provided information on the woman who sold the items and her vehicle.
Trooper Darrell Hutchinson later stopped a Toyota matching the description and arrested Risner, according to the news release. More arrests are pending, state police said.
