State police have charged a Knott County teen with being involved in a robbery early Wednesday, according to a news release.
Jesse James Combs, 18, of Fisty, was charged with facilitation to commit first-degree robbery and receiving stolen property.
State police were notified at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday that someone had robbed the Double Kwik convenience store on Ky. 80 at Hindman.
The robber brandished a pistol and stole money and cigarettes before leaving in a car, state police said.
Police later stopped a car and arrested Combs. The person suspected of robbing the store is thought to have fled the car just before the traffic stop, police said.
Police did not identify the thief for whom officers are obtaining an arrest warrant.
