A Lexington police officer and another driver sustained minor injuries after the officer's cruiser was T-boned Friday afternoon at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Man o' War Boulevard.
The officer, Jeremy Brislin, was inbound on Nicholasville Road with his lights and sirens on when the crash occurred, police said in a news release.
A Honda Accord driven by Nicholas R. King of Lexington failed to yield to Brislin's cruiser and hit it in the driver's side door. King was travelling on the inner loop of Man o' War and apparently did not see the cruiser.
Brislin and King were both taken to the hospital to be checked out, though neither had serious injuries, the release said. Both were wearing seatbelts.
