The pedestrian killed on Nicholasville Road Monday night was identified Wednesday as a 32-year-old Lexington man.
Romeo Adolfo Tema Lopez died of multiple blunt-force injuries after he was struck by a car, the Fayette County coroner's office said Wednesday.
About 9:45 p.m., Lopez was crossing the inbound lanes of Nicholasville Road outside the crosswalk near Zandale Drive when he was struck by a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Suresh Subba, according to the coroner's office and Lexington police.
Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene about 10:40 p.m., the coroner's office said in Wednesday's press release.

The death was Lexington's second pedestrian fatality in two days. Justin DeMarcus Conover, 33, died at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital late Sunday after he was hit by a sport-utility vehicle on Richmond Road. Conover was crossing the street outside the crosswalk when he was struck. A second vehicle hit Conover after he "slid" off the SUV.
