A Clay County man died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, state police said in a news release issued Monday.
George W. Gibson, 44, of Manchester was driving south on U.S. 421 when he lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet Tracker on the wet roadway and hit a 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Joshua Gray, 20, of Manchester, police said.
Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gray was flown to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. His condition was not immediately available. Drug and alcohol use are not suspected as factors in the wreck, state police said.
