Dominique Godfrey pleaded not guilty Friday in Fayette Circuit Court to murder and other charges stemming from the shooting death of Henry Clay High School sophomore Chaz Black, according to the Fayette commonwealth's attorney's office.
Godfrey and Deionta Hayes, both 21, were indicted in May, each on one count of murder, two counts of first-degree assault and one count of first-degree robbery. Hayes also was charged with being a persistent felony offender.
Hayes, arrested and jailed shortly after the shooting, pleaded not guilty late last month in Fayette Circuit Court. Godfrey, who was not initially charged in the case, turned himself in to authorities later.
Black, 16, was fatally shot and two other people were wounded on March 18 at a Lexington apartment where several people were playing a dice game, according to police.

Hayes is accused of pulling the trigger. Police have said Godfrey was overheard giving Hayes directions to the apartment.
A pre-trial conference for both men has been scheduled for June 28. A status conference has been scheduled for July 13.
