A woman who kept the books for a Lexington company has admitted stealing $196,861.
Crystal Dawn Kaiser pleaded guilty in federal court in Lexington on Friday, according to court records.
Kaiser was bookkeeper for Talcon Corporation. She issued checks from the business to herself but falsely recorded in the company's records that they were issued to vendors, according to her plea agreement.
Kaiser electronically forged the name of one of the people at Talcon authorized to sign checks, according to the court document.
