The Laurel County sheriff's office arrested a woman Wednesday who was in possession of more than a half-pound of crystal methamphetamine, the office said in a news release.
The arrest of Christina F. Holt, 38, is one of multiple arrests expected in one of the largest meth cases ever investigated by the Laurel County sheriff's office, the release said.
About 5 p.m. Wednesday, deputies and DEA agents served a search warrant for illegal drugs at Rose Ann Apartments on Robert E. Cox Road in Corbin.
Deputies found 9 ounces of meth with a street value of about $20,000 in Holt's apartment as well as "a large amount" of cash, the release said.

Sheriff's deputies are continuing to investigate, and more arrests are expected, the release said. The investigation has been ongoing for more than 2 months.
