Hate crime trial: Victim tells of beating, anti-gay slurs

Two men are on trial in Laurel County on charges of kidnaping another man and injuring him because he is gay. The charges are the first in the nation under a section of the federal hate-crimes law that makes it illegal to attack someone based on the victim's real or perceived sexual orientation.
