A 19-year-old faces multiple charges after a Lexington shooting Tuesday, police said.
About 3 a.m., someone fired several gunshots into a home on East Loudon Avenue, said Lexington police spokesman Sherelle Roberts.
While responding to the shooting, nearby officers spotted a man walking down the street, behaving suspiciously. When the suspect saw officers, he ran, Roberts said.
Officers pursued Tevin Earl Williams on foot to York Street and Maple Avenue, where they caught him.
Williams was charged with: receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, fleeing police, giving a false name, tampering with physical evidence and a parole violation. He is not charged with the shooting, Roberts said. The weapons and bullets must be tested to confirm he was the shooter.
