One man was shot during a burglary early Sunday morning, Frankfort police said in a news release issued Wednesday.
Malcolm Walker, 24, was treated at Frankfort Regional Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his right forearm, police said.
The shooting was reported at 3:20 a.m. Sunday on Centennial Avenue. Walker and Brandon Byrd, 24, were sleeping in the apartment they shared when they woke up to find two men with handguns. The men had apparently entered through an unlocked front door, police said.
The intruders pointed guns at their backs and told them to give up everything, the news release said. After the gunmen went through Byrd's pockets, Walker opened the front door to flee. As he did, one intruder shot him, and then both suspects fled.

One of the gunmen wore blue jeans, beige Converse shoes, a thick black jacket and a black ski mask. He was armed with a large revolver.
The other man wore sweat pants, a thick black jacket and a red bandanna over the lower portion of his face.
The intruders fled with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Sgt. Jerald Crawford at (502) 875-8523.
