A woman was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after being stabbed 16 times in Williamsburg on Friday night, and police have charged a man who they say is her attacker with criminal intent to commit murder.
The woman, who was not identified, was stabbed outside a home on Sky View Drive just before 11 p.m., according to a Facebook posting by the Williamsburg Police Department.
A homeowner reported seeing the altercation in her yard.
Anthony Edward Potter, who also uses the last name Spicer, ran from the scene but was later found in "an area between the Cumberland River, George Hays Road and South Second Street," police said.
