Lexington police warned motorists Monday to expect rush-hour traffic delays on parts of New Circle and Winchester roads because signals are out.
The traffic lights are not functioning properly on New Circle Road between Eastland Parkway and Limestone Street, and on Winchester Road at Loudon Avenue, according to a news release from Lexington police. Police were manually directing traffic, and efforts were being made to repair the traffic signals, according to the release. Spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said the cause of the outage wasn't clear.
Commuters should try to find alternate routes, according to the release.
