Man linked to June rape of 92-year-old was freed from jail days before crime, reports say

A man in jail with a significant criminal history has been connected to the rape and robbery of an elderly Stanford woman in June. The Advocate Messenger reported Kevin Higgins' had been in custody but was released just a few days before the rape and robbery of a 92-year-old woman. DNA evidence now allegedly connects Higgins to the crime.
