A child welfare visit to a Henry County home Wednesday led to a drug arrest, state police said.
According to the Cambellsburg state police post, troopers went to the home of Jeffrey Popp, 39, of Smithfield, to assist with a child-welfare visit.
Inside the home, officers found about 4 grams of methamphetamine, plus items used to sell the drug, police said.
Popp was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was being held in the Shelby County jail.
No children were in the home at the time of the arrest, troopers said.
