Laurel County deputies arrested a Corbin man on multiple charges after he allegedly fired shots toward a woman and her 13-year-old daughter.
Junior Cotton, 67, was taken to the Laurel County jail and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, impersonating a peace officer, public intoxication and disorderly conduct, officers said.
The arrest followed an altercation just before midnight Saturday on Cotton Road, about 14 miles south of London, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Department.
Responding to a call about shots being fired, deputies found Cornett standing in the middle of the road, shouting and cursing, Sheriff John Root said.
Cornett allegedly had fired a shot into a man's front yard. Cornett also allegedly told the victim that he was a police officer and fired another shot past the man's front door, where his wife and 13-year-old daughter were.
State police assisted the sheriff's office.
