A federal lawsuit between a Virginia photography company and Kentucky Sports Radio and commentator Matt Jones has been settled.
An order dismissing the lawsuit with prejudice was entered Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Lexington. Dismissal with prejudice means that the plaintiff, Andrew Shurtleff Photography LLC, may not refile the suit.
Jones posted a statement on the Kentucky Sports Radio website Tuesday night saying the issue had been resolved "after discussions between the two parties ... and the two parties have come to an agreement on the dispute."
"Mr. Shurtleff has agreed to dismiss the suit and KSR hopes to use Mr. Shurtleff's services in the future," the statement said.
Shurtleff filed the lawsuit Jan. 31, alleging that Kentucky Sports Radio used seven of its photographs without permission and without attributing the pictures to Shurtleff.
The photographs featured top basketball prospects at two basketball camps in 2009 and 2010.
