A 26-year-old Lexington woman who was in her apartment was injured late Sunday when shots were fired from the street.
Police Lt. Mark Brand said multiple shots were fired about 11:30 p.m. near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Sixth Street. The woman, whose name was not released, was in her home on Martin Luther King Boulevard when she was hit once.
She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center where she was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, Brand said.
It was unclear whether the woman was the intended victim, he said.
There are no suspects in the shooting, Brand said.
