Two Rockcastle County women now face charges in the robbery of a bank in Jackson County late last month.
Kentucky State Police at Richmond said Mary A. Reed, 46, has been charged in the case, along with Sabrina N. Hensley, 29.
Both are from the Orlando community in Rockcastle County.
Reed was arrested on charges of second-degree robbery, tampering with evidence and theft, troopers said.
She was being held in the Jackson County jail after being indicted last week by a Jackson county grand jury, according to police.
Authorities allege that Reed assisted Hensley in robbing the Jackson County Bank at Sand Gap on May 29. Hensley, who was arrested June 1, is charged with second-degree robbery and tampering with evidence.
According to police reports, a woman entered the Sand Gap bank about 3:30 p.m. on May 29 and ordered a clerk to give her money. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash, got into the passenger seat of a car waiting outside and was driven away, state police said.
The robbery investigation is continuing.
