Lexington firefighters worked to free the driver of a Volkswagen bus Monday morning after a three-vehicle crash at North Broadway and West Third Street. The Volkswagen driver was trapped for more than 30 minutes and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate him from the driver's seat. Someone in another vehicle also was taken to a hospital. The wreck occurred about 7:45 a.m., and Third Street was closed between North Upper Street to North Broadway. North Broadway was closed from Third to Fourth streets.
