A traffic stop started a chain of arrests involving people with crystal methamphetamine in Laurel County on Saturday.
A London police officer working with a dog made a traffic stop and found Reynier Ruiz-Pena, 32, of Louisville, with 15.3 grams of crystal meth and more than 100 Xanax pills early Saturday, according to a news release from the Laurel County sheriff's department. He was charged with first-degree and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense.
Sherry Brown, 34, of London, was also arrested during the traffic stop. She was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, after she was found with a substance thought to be crystal meth.
Next, a state police officer and dog went to a London motel and arrested Michael "Bruno" Bruner 38, of London, who police said had 5.7 grams of crystal meth packaged for resale, as well as empty plastic bags and digital scales. Bruner, who has two prior felony convictions for trafficking, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense, and being a persistent felony offender.

While officers were at the motel, Bradley Moore, 41, of London, arrived with 6.4 grams of crystal meth, according to the release. He was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, and being a persistent felony offender.
Finally, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Chaney Ridge Road, 4 miles north of London.
There, they found Michelle Savage, 40, in bed with a container that held 5.7 grams of crystal meth. She also had three EBT cards with the PIN numbers written on them. Savage was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, and knowingly fraudulently using an ID card or electronic code for benefits.
Nora Bowman, 35, of London, had 0.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine in her purse, according to the news release, so she was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. All those arrested were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
