Traffic stop starts chain of six meth-related arrests in Laurel County

A traffic stop started a chain of arrests involving people with crystal methamphetamine in Laurel County on Saturday. A London police officer working with a dog made a traffic stop and found Reynier Ruiz-Pena, 32, of Louisville, with 15.3 grams of crystal meth and more than 100 Xanax pills early Saturday, according to a news release from the Laurel County sheriff's department. He was charged with first-degree and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense.
