A cellphone helped a Laurel County deputy arrest a suspect in residential burglary Sunday night, authorities said.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Department said David McQueen, 33, of Corbin was charged with second-degree burglary, fleeing police and intoxication.
Deputy Larry Parrott went to a home on U.S. 25 six miles south of London just after 10 p.m. Sunday in response to a burglar alarm, according to the department.
Someone ran off as Parrott arrived. Parrott spotted a car parked nearby and found items that apparently had been stolen from the home, plus a cellphone thought to belong to the intruder.
Using information from the phone and the parked car, Parrott located McQueen near the house that had been burglarized, authorities said.
McQueen was being held in the Laurel County jail.
