A Knox County man is dead after being shot by his son Thursday morning.
Kentucky State Police Tropper Shane Jacobs said Harold Carnes, 61, was shot after a fight at his home on Body Shop Lane in the Walker community. His son Travis Carnes, 37, of Faltick is charged with murder.
Troopers from Post 10 in Harlan County received a call at 11:20 a.m. about a domestic violence issue. Authorities received a second call about shots being fired while they were headed to the home, Jacobs said.
Travis Carnes was being held in the Knox County Detention Center.
